What is Health Coaching?​
Health coaching is an equal partnership between a client and coach with shared responsibilities and roles. I work one on one
with clients to support and empower behavior changes for optimal vitality. Through a created safe and supportive alliance,
utilizing kindness and empathy, we work together to discover your skills for learning and action. We create a plan that best
supports you and your vision of what your best life looks, feels and encompasses, to achieve feelings of joy, satisfaction, and
happiness. We take small steps toward the goals you want to achieve, the life you want to live.
Why is Health Coaching Effective?
Health coaching is effective because we explore how those automated behaviors
became habit, what triggers them, and how to remove actions and choices that don't move our health forward in a positive
direction. We do this by working together and utilizing mindfulness, the power of choice, and accountability to acquire new
behaviors that support your sense of identity, lifestyle, and macro view goals. I use Duke's Wheel of Health and process model to
help guide you towards increased confidence, skills, self-awareness, and action. We will utilize Duke's Personal Health Inventory
to help pinpoint what is working and feels good in your life and what doesn't. As a coach and human being on this journey of
change with you, I hold up the mirror so you can acknowledge, visualize, and access your courage to embark on a journey of
self-mastery.
